DBC Update on the State of the Church

Dallas Baptist Folks, Here’s a print version of the phone tree message from last night. Note that in the message I read the actual amount of our offering, but for the privacy of our church, I have inserted a phrase in the place of the amount.

“I have a few things for you. First, the deacons and I met on Sunday, and we discussed opening the church building back up. If all of the governor’s benchmarks are met, it looks as though, we may be able to start holding hybrid online and face-to-face worship services, as well as Sunday school, on May 24th. Of course, we recommend social distancing, face masks, and other preventative practices if you attend. If you do not feel comfortable attending in person, we will still offer the live-streaming option. If you are not internet inclined, contact the church office for DVD copies of any of the services. Second, the office is open Tuesdays & Thursdays 9AM-2PM, until further notice. I personally plan on being in the office Monday through Thursday around the same hours. Third, we do have some of the fundraising baby bottles for the Crisis Pregnancy Center of Gaston County. Pick up a bottle and fill it full of your change to support their ministry. Fourth, thanks to all of those who have continued their financial support of the church. Our general offering was [close to our normal offering] for the month of April. Please continue to support your church family and its ministries.”
